All three packages include a pre-shoot consultation to understand your vision, full creative direction on the day, professional studio use at our Wan Chai space, and post-production editing. Kay will guide you through everything in a pre-shoot consultation, including wardrobe suggestions, colour palettes, and what to expect on the day. There's no need to have modelling experience — the session is designed to feel relaxed and natural. 

Yes. Maternity and family sessions are a core part of what we do at Kay Lai Studio. Maternity portraits are typically best scheduled between weeks 28–34 of pregnancy, when you're comfortably showing but still feeling well. Family sessions are available for all family sizes and ages. Both are approached with the same editorial care as our individual portraits.

Please plan for a luxurious and unhurried experience. The hair and makeup process typically takes about 1.5 hours. The photoshoot itself will vary based on your chosen package, ranging from a 1.5-hour intimate session to a more extensive 3-hour experience. In total, you can expect to be with us for approximately 3 to 5 hours to ensure we never feel rushed.

Most of our packages includes professional hair and makeup artist and is dedicated to you for the whole session. Our artist will work with you to create a look that enhances your natural beauty and makes you feel incredibly radiant and confident.

Absolutely! This is one of the most common concerns, and please know that you are in expert hands. Most of our clients are not professional models. I will provide gentle, clear direction on every aspect, from flattering poses and how to angle your body to creating natural movement and connection. My goal is to make you feel comfortable, confident, and beautiful throughout the entire experience. All you need to do is relax and be yourself.

Absolutely! We love when family members join the shoot. Please let us know in advance who will be joining so we can plan accordingly.

We provide a curated client wardrobe of elegant, photogenic pieces for you to choose from, including flowing silk fabrics, delicate lace robes, and classic fitted gowns. Many clients find everything they need right here! However, you are also welcome to bring your own outfits for a more personal touch. We are happy to help you style your selections during your consultation.

You will receive a private online gallery with all the best, unedited images from your session within approximately 1 week. This allows you to relive the experience and start choosing your favorites. Your final, professionally retouched high-resolution images will be delivered in your gallery within 4 weeks of your selection. This careful, detailed retouching process ensures each image is perfected into a timeless work of art.

Your privacy is of the utmost importance to us. We treat your images with the highest level of confidentiality. Your photos are never shared on our website, social media, or in any promotional material without your explicit written permission.

The studio is located at 4–6 Morrison Hill Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong. Causeway BaMTR station is a short walk away. Paid parking is available nearby at Morrison Hill Road and the surrounding area. If you have any questions about getting here, feel free to contact us before your session.
